Operation “Vape Out” was implemented on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at various establishments known to sell vaping products in the county, according to Nassau County Police detectives.

As a result of the initiative, detectives utilized underage agents (persons under the age of 21) to purchase age-restricted products. 

As a result of the operation, the following individuals were arrested for selling those restricted products and were issued appearance tickets.

Noman Mugeeb S. Nagi, 33, of the Bronx, while employed as a cashier at Smokie Smoke Shop, at 979 Nassau Road in Uniondale, is accused of selling a JUUL pod to a female under the age of 21.

Noman Alkaifi Nooh, 27, of Manhattan, while employed as a cashier at 24 Hour Cigar/Vape Shop, at 327 Nassau Road in Roosevelt, is accused of selling a JUUL box with four mint pods to a female under the age of 21.

Both were charged with Town of Hempstead Violations for sale of age-restricted products and are scheduled to appear on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 at Second District Court in Hempstead.
